T’Challa Sings His Own Version of “thank u, next” for Our Missing Avengers

We have done our fair share of covering all the Ariana Grande memes that have spawned from her song “thank u, next.” From a Twitter meme with the lyrics “One taught me love, one taught me patience, one taught me pain” to James Corden singing about his love for Jeff Goldblum, everyone is onboard with Grande’s ode to exes.

So now, it seems as if Avengers: Infinity War is getting the “thank u, next” treatment. Right now, our hearts are still sore from the torment that Thanos placed upon them, tearing them apart just as he did our favorite Avengers with just a snap of his fingers. So why not have T’Challa sing about being dust to make us feel even worse?

Azerrz on YouTube made the video featuring T’Challa narrating what happened to him in Black Panther (with a little chant of “Michael B. Jordan”), following right along into what happened in Avengers: Infinity War. Be prepared, though; you’re going to want to cry and laugh at the same time.

Here’s the thing: We just have to laugh at this point. Many of us are still thinking about the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War, trying to justify how our favorite characters can come back and whether they even will. Marvel is, surprisingly, doing a great job of not letting us know a single thing about Avengers: Endgame other than the fact that Scott Lang somehow got out of the Quantum Realm all on his own.

The fact that the chorus is just about Peter Parker telling Tony that he doesn’t feel so could is just plain rude, though. Can we let the dusting of Bucky and Peter Parker be? That being said, T’Challa’s dusting was equally upsetting, and so was Groot’s, so maybe I’m just making the point that all the characters who got dusted upset me, but still … you get the point.

This song exists to make us cry and laugh at the same time, and maybe that’s how we need to cope with Infinity War. Until we know what happens to our favorite characters, we just have to sit and hope that they’re going to be fine by the end of Avengers: Endgame. I still hope I’m right in my theory that all my favorites come back and everything is fine, because it still hurts to think about how all our favorite characters are just gone forever because of Barney.
