Heroes of The CW Go All Danger Room in Extended Fight Club 2.0 Short

Recommended Videos

The CW has released a longer version of the “Fight Club” short that they showed off last week. It starts the same, with Supergirl having been “kidnapped” by her fellow DC television heroes. After some perfectly in-character banter between Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash, they’re joined by other heroes Firestorm, White Canary, and The Atom for some Danger Room-style training at the hands of Cisco and Smoak. Joining them is Diggle, who absolutely geeks out over Martian Manhunter.

The Danger Room (the head of which is very reminiscent GLaDOS, to be honest) comes to life and the heroes all work together to fend off the various threats it throws at the team. There are plenty of genuinely charming moments, moments that make me pretty dang excited about the fact that all the DC heroes are now piled together on the same network. Given that, and given the fact that Supergirl doesn’t seem to be set in a different universe anymore, I’m expecting that righteous team-ups will become something of a regular thing on each of these shows.

I guess that being said, this commercial does exactly what it’s supposed to: it’s got me extra-hyped up about this entire week of all new episodes of some of my favorite superhero shows. Gushing aside, there were also a few fairly corny lines and moments and things like that, but to be honest, I think that’s kind of par for the course in a way. It doesn’t particularly distract or take away from the overall spot, which is a good thing.

So, tell me: who are you most excited to see in action when the full Berlantiverse premieres?
