Quentin Tarantino Confirms All His Films Exist in a Massive Tarantino-verse

So we're like, one step away from a theme park now, right?

Fans have long suspected that all of Quentin Tarantino’s movies are connected in one way or another. For example, when Mia Wallace–Uma Thurman’s character in Pulp Fiction–describes Fox Force Five to Vincent Vega, she’s essentially describing the plot of Kill Bill. There are plenty of easter eggs like these planted throughout Tarantino’s flicks, so his recent confirmation that yes, they’re all in the same universe comes as not so much a surprise but a gratifying validation for theorists and Tarantino fans everywhere.

But it’s not just one universe, oh no. Nothing in the Tarantino world would ever be quite so simple.

As Tarantino told Australian talk show The Project, his movies exist in two universes. One universe consists of the “realer than real” world, where his characters live and everything. The other universe is a different “movie universe.” Said Tarantino:

So From Dusk Till Dawn, Kill Bill, they all take place in this special movie universe. So when all the characters of Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction, when they go to the movies, Kill Bill is what they go to see. From Dusk Till Dawn is what they see.

Make sense? The above example of Mia Wallace describing Fox Force Five/Kill Bill definitely stands as one of the strongest examples of how Tarantino’s universes interact.

Leave it to Tarantino to brilliantly deconstruct the idea of a movie while building up a movie universe of his own. It all just makes so much sense.
