Things We Saw Today: Deadpool Breaks the Fourth Wall on Empire’s Cover

Deadpools gonna Deadpool, I guess. So commentary. So meta. So postmodern. (via CBR)

  • In other Marvel-y news, Kevin Feige has doubled down on Benedict Cumberbatch, saying that he really was the right actor for Doctor Strange. We’re still curious though; who was your fancasting for the mystical Doctor? (via CBR)
  • If you needed more Tom Hiddleston in your life, you’re about to get it: he’ll be starring opposite Hugh Laurie (!!!) in a spy vs spy (not Spy vs Spy, mind you) television miniseries based on a John le Carré novel. Very yes. (via io9)

You know those really depressing Sarah McLachlan pet adoption commercials? The one with that one song that I can’t hear or even quote anymore lest I break out into tears? The one I linked above when I really shouldn’t have? Yeah, that one. Apparently McLachlan can’t watch those commercials either, because they’re too sad. Oh, the irony. (via Jezebel)

  • In other heartbreaking news, a surgeon practiced for a heart surgery by using Google Cardboard, the (mostly) free peripheral that pairs with your phone to create a pair of virtual reality goggles. Oh, the girl is fine. Sorry, heartbreaking might’ve been the wrong word to use there. (via Geek.com)

Hella stuff. Hella, hella stuff. What’d you see today?
