Things We Saw Today: Wolverine’s Got an Adamantium Dysfunction Problem
For when your get up and go got up and went.
Poor Wolverine. He’s getting on in his years, y’know? And it’s totally cool that sometimes he might need some help with his, uh… adamantium dysfunction. Thanks to the kind folks over at Nerd City, he can get what he needs. This commercial: just perfect. Aaand cue fine print voiceover reading things really quickly. (via Laughing Squid)
- TNT has just greenlit a drama based on young William Shakespeare. Titled Will, and not to be confused with the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the show “tells the wild story of young William Shakespeare’s arrival onto the punk-rock theater scene in 16th century London.” (via Deadline)
- Speaking of amazing British stars: Elton John just confirmed he will be appearing in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to the 2014 hit spy flick. As the tweet says: “Friday night’s alright for fighting.” Aw yiss. (via CBR)
Space: the final frontier. Home to some really freaky stuff. Check out this short video of a meteor lighting up the sky above Portland, Maine. It gets to damn near daylight levels of light as it streaks across the night sky, flashing a final few times as it passes across the camera’s lens. Not a bad distraction for the police sergeant who caught the whole thing on his dashboard camera while waiting for speeders. (via Laughing Squid)
- Speaking of space, there’s this object in space that’s slowly coming into focus behind Pluto. Named JR1, this object has orbited the sun from 3 billion miles away. Scientists are learning more about the object thanks to the work of NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft. There’s so much we don’t know about space, even in our very own backyard. (via Gizmodo)
