Apparently a scene involving shock collars as a means of controlling predators in Zootopia made it pretty far down the production line before ultimately being cut. Sounds like a downer scene, right? You can see the production team chatting about it above in a behind-the-scenes featurette. (via A.V. Club)

  • Do you know anybody who could use a brand new set of tools? Then you should probably snag this set of lightsaber-handled tools from Think Geek. Unfortunately there’s no laser cutter… yet. (via Geek Alerts)
  • Speaking of Star Wars, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy shed a bit of light on Mon Mothma’s role in the upcoming Rogue One picture. Put simply: she’s the latest (or the first?) in a line of women in the Star Wars universe who has to deal with the mess a bunch of dudes made. Great. We love you, Mon Mothma. (via Collider)

Hey, pal, you hungry? How about a slice of cockroach cake? It’ll cure what ails ya. This cake modeled after a hissing cockroach is at once off-putting and completely appetizing. My mind is telling me no… but my body… my body’s telling me that’s still cake. (via Gizmodo)

  • Cartoon Network just recently launched the Cartoon Network Cooperative, an initiative that allows popular fan artists to sell their wares based on Cartoon Network properties through Cartoon Network’s online store. Think about it like Redbubble, except with officially licensed things. Pretty neat, no? (via Cartoon Brew)
  • Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who you might recognize from The Force Awakens, has taken over playing Vixen on Legends of Tomorrow. The role was recently vacated by Megalyn E.K. on Arrow, and the studio ran into some continuity trouble when it was announced she wouldn’t reprise her role for Legends of Tomorrow. But thanks to some classic comic book time travel antics, Richardson-Sellers’ presence as Vixen is finally settled into the continuity. (via HitFix)
