Things We Saw Today: God Bless You, Idris Elba
There is absolutely nothing substantial about this. I mean, sure Idris Elba is starring in basically everything that is geeky and awesome, like the upcoming Star Trek Beyond, The Dark Tower, and Thor: Ragnarok, but this photo shoot he did with Interview Magazine is just pure, unadulterated eye candy that I am unashamedly linking to here for your enjoyment. You’re welcome. (via Buzzfeed)
- Kung Fu Panda 2 director Jennifer Yuh Nelson will be making her live-action feature film debut for Fox with with an adaptation of YA hit The Darkest Minds, the first book in a trilogy by Alexandra Bracken. (via Women and Hollywood)
- Hamilton‘s original Angelica Schuyler, Renee Elise Goldsberry, will be entering the realm of sci-fi when her time on Broadway is up in a Netflix series called Altered Carbon, in which she plays “Quellcrist Falconer, a leader of the revolution against the established order known as the United Nations Protectorate, which now controls a number of inhabited planets.” (via Shadow and Act)
- Um, apparently Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s Tituss Burgess is not happy with NYC moving company, Franks Express. Sheesh! (via Jezebel)
Check out Hamilton‘s #Dab4Ham, the latest #Ham4Ham that posted today, where there was not only a dabbing contest, but #OneLastDab with Daveed Diggs, whose last performance is tonight. *sniff* LAFAYETTE! (via Entertainment Weekly)
While I’m hitting myself in the face trying to dab and sobbing over Daveed Diggs’ departure from Hamilton, tell me something good. What have you seen today?
