Following the confirmation of Star Wars actor Kenny Baker’s death yesterday, several of Baker’s castmates took to Twitter to express their condolences to fans–including Luke Skywalker himself Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels, who played C-3PO alongside Baker’s R2-D2 for six straight films. Star Wars creator George Lucas also shared a small statement regarding Baker’s passing: “Kenny Baker was a real gentleman as well as an incredible trooper who always worked hard under difficult circumstances. A talented vaudevillian who could always make everybody laugh, Kenny was truly the heart and soul of R2-D2 and will be missed by all his fans and everyone who knew him.” (via BBC)
