Things We Saw Today: Lindsey Stirling Gives Spider-Man Score Great Power in New Music Video

We’ve always been huge fans of performance artist Lindsey Stirling for her geek-classical music covers and original compositions–her Star Wars and Lord of the Rings medleys are among my favorites, as well as her cover of the Skyrim theme music. In this video, she teams up with pianist Lang Lang to create a tribute to the Spider-Man score.

  • One of Beyonce’s backup dancers proposed to another of her backup dancers on stage during the singer’s “Formation” tour. The whole thing went down during a performance of “Single Ladies”, proving the old adage that if you like it, you should put a ring on it. (via The Daily Dot)

  • With the upcoming Defenders show in the works, Charlie Cox said one of the things he’s most excited about is to see the relationship between Matt Murdock and Danny Rand develop. (via Geek Tyrant)
  • As for the musical crossover episode between The Flash and Supergirl Greg Berlanti is interested in bringing in a composer to write some original music. While there aren’t any big names confirmed, Berlanti said he “did speak to someone we’re really excited about. There are some writers I’m incredibly excited to work with.” (via ComingSoon.net)
