Things We Saw Today: Disney Creates Dug in Real Life Thanks to a Talking Collar

"I like your grey shirt, tiny human."

The fine folks at Oh My Disney put together one heck of a wonderful video featuring a “real-life Dug” from Pixar’s Up. They set up a super adorable pupper with a talking collar that (I imagine) is wirelessly connected to someone who imitates Dug’s voice and talks to the humans around the dog live. It’s kind of incredible, and the reactions of everyone–especially the kids–are genuinely heartwarming.

  • With Luke Cage finally out and Iron Fist almost in the can, we can finally begin looking forward to The Defenders. According to a Facebook video interview with Mike Colter, we can get a little more excited seeing as how we may be about three weeks out from the show’s filming start date! Self-professed “Queen of Sh*tty Robots” Simone Giertz is at it again, this time sharing with us a robot she uses to put 1,000 layers of makeup on her face. Dang. (via Laughing Squid)

Did you visit one of the many Luke’s Diner popups that took over coffee shops all around the continent yesterday? Did you visit the one in Beverly Hills, CA, where Luke himself, Scott Patterson, showed up to serve coffee? If so, lucky you. We’re totally not jealous. Nuh-uh. Nope. No way. *chokes back sobs* (via Entertainment Weekly)

Etsy shop The Vintage Realm creates these incredible Pokéball terrariums, and they found themselves overwhelmed with orders thanks to the widespread popularity of Pokémon GO. As well, they’re incredibly reasonably priced and look amazing, so it’s no secret why they’re in such high demand! (via Geek.com)

Last but 100% not least comes this video from international star musician Brandy. The incredible playful banter between her, Todrick Hall, and Jennifer Lewis in this humorous diva-off is certainly a day brightener. Give it a watch, but be warned: some NSFW language abounds.

What’d you see today, friend?
