Things We Saw Today: David Tennant Promises “It’s All Going to Be Okay”
David Tennant offered words of comfort–and a call to action, on the TV show The Last Leg. After a user tweeted asking him to “please tell us it’ll be ok,” Tennant did just that.
“It’s all going to be okay. Trust me, I’m a Doctor. But it’s up to us to make it okay. It’s time to be positively rebellious and rebelliously positive.”
He continued, “As long as we stand up for what we believe in, don’t give in to anger or violence, look out for the little guy, keep an eye on the big guys, refuse to keep our mouths shut, and just generally try not to be dicks, every little thing is gonna be alright.” I don’t know about you all, but I needed to hear that today. - Now that January is coming to a close, and it’s officially socially acceptable to drop that New Year’s Resolution about spending less money on video games, you can feel free to check out Polygon’s list of upcoming February releases and plan accordingly.
- Syfy’s The Expanse released an amazing promo video called “The Powerful Women of The Expanse.” Any show which explicitly tries to woo me with footage of women punching, strategizing, scheming, and rebelling is pandering in all the best ways. (Via io9)
- A public, joint memorial for Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds will be held on Saturday, March 25 at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. No tickets will be sold, but seats will be first-come, first-served. (Via Deadline)
- After the premiere screening of Legion on Thursday, executive producer Bryan Singer and star Aubrey Plaza had some fun ways to describe the show. Singer called it “a visual feast” and “an onion — constantly being unpeeled with every scene and with every episode.” Plaza said “it’s a superhero origin story told through the lens of some cosmic psychedelic genius that is telling the story in a non-linear, magical way.” This show sounds curiouser and curiouser every day.
