As a direct result of that ruling, a New Jersey judge has ruled that the Garden State must allow same-sex couples to marry starting on October 21st. But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows: Governor Chris Christie‘s office has said it will appeal the ruling, and according to the New York Times he’s likely to seek a stay that would push back the October 21st start date.
