Well this certainly would have made things interesting. Comics Alliance showcased as series of artwork from Alex Tuis depicting some interesting personal casting choices for Marvel superhero roles. Among them: Bruce Lee as Spider-Man, Naomi Harris as Storm, and Rutger Hauer as Thor. Now take a gander as what else we saw today.
- The Independent Tribune says fans’ thirst for geek culture is growing, and those who utilize it correctly stand to make a LOT of money.
This is a menu The Walking Dead producer Gale Anne Hurd posted on Twitter today. It features “Walking Dead inspired wine flights” from Vertical Wine Bistro in California where they are having a special zombie-themed menu in honor of the show’s return and their owner, Hurd. I’ll take a Shane’s Betrayal, please.
- Columbia Pictures has decided to drop their adaptation of the comic book, The Boys and Screen Gems has decided not to go forward with their Mortal Instruments adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s young adult fantasy series. (via The Hollywood Reporter)

- Lastly today, Ghost Rider creator Gary Friedrich is in some serious legal trouble with Marvel after a long battle over rights. The latest suit was over unauthorized sale of Ghost Rider posters, shirts, and cards Friedrich was selling online and at conventions. He’s been ordered to pay the company $17,000, which he doesn’t have, and told not to say what he created. Well now, creator Steve Niles has taken it upon himself to assist Friedrich with his financial problems by organizing a spot for folks to donate if they are so inclined. The money will go towards food and keeping Friedrich and his wife in their home. You can read more about the entire situation here.
