Things We Saw Today: Kermit At Yankee Stadium
Things We Saw Today
This…this is just priceless. Kermit hung out at Yankee Stadium today in New York and was caught more than once by the paparazzi. Click over to our sister site Sports Grid for some other impromptu poses.
- You know the Comedy Central show Tosh 2.0? The one where the host Daniel Tosh talks about viral videos? Well apparently he recently encouraged viewers to touch women without their permission, film it, and post it to YouTube also without their permission. Sounds like an awesome guy to me. Read the full story over at The Frisky.
- Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan is now on Twitter!! She even tweeted pictures of her and Matt Smith filming yesterday in New York (at a site I accidentally drove through while lost).
- Here’s an interesting piece from The Weal on how being uncool is now the coolest thing.

- As they have in the past, t-shirt company Threadless is doing another round of their Comics-On Tees. This time they’re asking for your help with the design. The story you get to work with? Written by Neil Gaiman. Artists Ben Templesmith, Brandon Graham, and John Cassaday are illustrating the rest. 25% of the sale of each tee will go to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
- DC Comics are going to be putting out some new digital-only comics. Today saw the release of Smallville Season 11 from Bryan Q. Miller, Pere Perez, and Cat Staggs, starting in June we’ll have a Batman showcase from Ben Templesmith, Steve Niles, B. Clay Moore, Nicola Scott, Joshua Hale Fialkov, Jeff Lemire, and Damon Lindelof, and next month Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Grey will be writing one based on the Ame-Comi superheroine statues with covers by Amanda Conner. It’s enormously difficult to take very disparate characters and make them work. And DC has a harder time with it than Marvel because their characters are from a bygone era. Their characters were bigger than we were. They’ve amended that but Marvel really cracked the code in terms of ‘Oh, they’re just like us.’ A dose of that sort of veracity that Marvel really started with Iron Man, I think you need to use that as a base.
