Things We Saw Today: Deadpool‘s Leaked Trailer and Agent Carter Panel Recap
Another mini-SDCC round up for you!
There are now probably a million different low-quality versions of the Deadpool trailer now floating all over the internet. You just need to see one, and you’ll see why people are so excited about this movie. It’s gory, it’s sarcastic, it’s hilarious, and it’s got Salt n Pepa. What else do you need? (via Polygon)
- Blade is returning to comics, and he’s not coming alone. He’s bringing along his vampire-slaying daughter, Fallon Grey. From Tim Seeley, the book’s writer: “My take on Fallon is that she’s an ‘anti-Peter Parker.’ She’s popular, well liked, and everyone around her thinks she has the future by the balls. But those kind of expectations come with their own stresses, and part of Fallon’s story will be dealing with what people expect her to be.” (via Comic Book Resources)
- Speaking of incredibly amazing kick-ass women, Malala Yousafzai rang in her 18th year by opening up a school for girls in Lebanon. “I decided to be in Lebanon because I believe that the voices of the Syrian refugees need to be heard and they have been ignored for so long,” she explained. That’s freakin’ Pluto. NASA released a new set of images from the New Horizons spacecraft. We’re only about a day away from the craft’s closest flyby of Pluto, and many, many people wait with bated breath for the photos from the close-range flyby. (via Huffington Post)
- The Agent Carter panel at San Diego Comic-Con was full of fun quips and stories from the cast. Personal favorite answer to a question? Hayley Atwell’s favorite line: “I know my value. And anyone else’s opinion doesn’t really matter.” Damn straight. (via Collider)
- Pacific Rim 2 is apparently going to start filming in November. Guillermo Del Toro said there’s going to be an epic battle for its finale, and that he’s been having a lot of fun planning it all out. Stop teasing us. We can’t wait. (via Yahoo! Movies)
It’s been an absolute torrent of news and bits coming out of San Diego Comic-Con. We’d love to see what y’all saw today, or what you’re hoping to see soon!
