Things We Saw Today: Crimson Peak Still Scares the Hell Out of Us
If you’re trying to save yourself from some of the scares in the new Guillermo del Toro horror Crimson Peak, you should just go ahead and skip right past this bit right here right now. But trust me when I say: it’s really good. I’m a big chicken, but I watched this clip anyway because I care about you and wanted you to know it’s good. So there. (via Blastr)
- Speaking of death and horrifying incidents: Mark Hamill totally almost died while climbing a mountain in Ireland, where Star Wars: The Force Awakens was shooting. He slipped and almost fell off of a cliff and would have died if not for the heroic efforts of
Obi-Wana guide. (via Geek Tyrant) - Once more on the death thing: Liam Neeson is slated to star in an action comedy with perhaps the greatest action comedy title since Hot Fuzz. The movie’s titled Revenger, and will be directed by Zombieland‘s Ruben Fleischer, who we’re told has a very special set of skills. (via Birth.Movies.Death.)
And here’s good old Bethesda, to try to help you avoid death by teaching you about its S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system. This is part two of their instructional series, and this video focuses on perception. Oooh. Aaah. (via Polygon)
- In regeneration news: Michelle Gomez stated that she’d love to keep playing Missy on Doctor Who for years to come. Isn’t that just wonderful? How do you feel about that? (via io9)
- Okay. The TMS staffers could use your help solving a mystery. We Are Wakanda recently tweeted some GIFs of the Vixen animated mini-series, one of which we can swear up and down is either an homage or a tribute to a scene in Cowboy Bebop… but we can’t remember for sure. Does this action sequence look familiar to any of you? Let us know in the comments!
