In Japan’s Tottori prefecture, some amazing artists created stunning sand sculptures to celebrate The Force Awakens. The sculptures feature C-3PO, R2-D2, and our favorite little rolling ball droid: BB-8. Just look at the detail!
- Russian president Vladimir Putin rang in his 63rd birthday in the most surreal way possible: with an art exhibition featuring illustrated versions of himself in various superhero/real world hero guises. Definitely don’t miss the Batman one over at Comic Book Resources. It’s very TAS, isn’t it?
- Sadly, it looks like Minority Report might already be on the chopping block. It’s just had three episodes of its 10 episode order cancelled. It premiered to some pretty dismal ratings, so it looks like time might be running out for this show. We definitely didn’t see that one coming. (via Deadline)
This video featuring a hilarious mashup between The Big Lebowski and everyone’s favorite Donny, Donald Trump, is simply amazing. Heads up: some pretty nasty language up in this one. It is The Big Lebowski, after all. (via The Daily Dot)
- I wish I was playing Star Wars Battlefront right now. Just gonna put that out there. But in light of my inability to, this Kotaku recap of 10 priceless Star Wars Battlefront fails has been keeping me going. It gives me life.
- NASA apparently has more to say about The Martian, because they just showed off a neat post showing real-life HD photos of where Mark Watney would have been stranded on Mars. Check it out over at The Verge and let the lines between your reality and your fiction blur.
That’s plenty of stuff, and we’re not even done with New York Comic-Con yet! Are you at the con? Let us know below!
