• Arcade Fire have released their new single from The Hunger Games soundtrack, which reimagines the story of Isaac if Abraham had had a daughter, bringing the “sacrifice of children” motif out of the movie and into the music. (Entertainment Weekly)

• The lawsuit over whether or not Neil Gaiman was owed compensation for major contributions to the canon of Spawn was settled, and now the sum that Todd McFarlane owes him has been ordered by the judge: $382,000, which will come from the escrow account set up when the lawsuit began. Gaiman has said that any money left after he covers legal expenses (even Gaiman isn’t sure how much will actually be left over) will go to charity (I’m guessing the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund).

QMX collectibles has created a replica gun after the one carried by Mal Reynolds in Firefly. No, it does not actually fire.

• In related news, Adam Baldwin (Jayne Cobb) will be making a guest appearance on Nathan Fillion’s (Mal) Castle, making a tiny, impromptu Firefly reunion. (Blastr)
