Things We Saw Today: David Oyelowo to Voice Disney Villain Scar in The Lion Guard

Recommended Videos

Be prepared! While it’s difficult to imagine anyone living up to Jeremy Irons as Scar in Disney’s classic The Lion King, David Oyelowo is an amazing choice as the voice of the disgruntled feline with vengeance in his heart. Oyelowo’s Scar will appear on Disney Junior’s The Lion Guard which premieres July 7th. While it’s unclear how much screentime the villainous lion will have, considering this is an continuation of the films and he’s spending most of that time feeding the Circle of Life, there will be an extended episode titled ‘The Rise of Scar.” Cool!
