Remember that time Scott Adams (Dilbert creator) offended everyone by comparing women to children crying for candy? We do. That’s why this didn’t surprise us: Adams posed as his own biggest fan on MetaFilter and Reddit message boards under the username PlannedChaos, saying that everyone was just jealous of “Scott Adams” and that “Scott Adams” was a “genius.” And that, my friends, is irony. Someone, please, save Scott Adams from himself. (At Comics Alliance)

And more Bat-casting news: Bryan Cranston and Ben McKenzie have been cast as Lieutenant James Gordon and Batman/Bruce Wayne, respectively, in the upcoming animated version of Frank Miller‘s Batman: Year One. Eliza Dushku has also signed on to play Catwoman and Katee Sackhoff is voicing Gordon’s love interest, Detective Sarah Essen.

Animator and executive producer Bruce Timm described the animated movie as “a pretty straight forward literal retelling” of the original comic.

That kind of storytelling is what’s bringing Cranston back, who had originally turned down the Gordon role. Batman: Year One will be rated PG-13 and will premiere at the San Diego Comic Con in July before being released on home video. (At Digital Spy)
