Things We Saw Today: The Thor: Ragnarok Poster, But Goldblum’d

As part of their San Diego Comic-Con press blitz, Marvel released a gorgeous Thor: Ragnarok poster (also see below), but writer/actor Brian Firenzi found a magical way to improve on it – with more Jeff Goldblum!

  • BILL IS BACK for the Doctor Who Christmas special.
  • Rep. John Lewis, as he has at previous cons, led a civil rights march through San Diego Comic-Con. (via io9)
  • Michelle Pfeiffer, who famously played Catwoman in Batman Returns, has joined the cast of Ant-Man & The Wasp as Janet Van Dyne. Laurence Fishburne has also joined the cast as scientist Bill Foster, who eventually becomes a superhero himself in the comics. Intriguing… (via The Hollywood Reporter)
  • I immediately wanted to make all of these Star Wars: Forces of Destiny “adventure figures”, including Leia, Rey, Sabine, and Jyn Erso, go “pew-pew” and fight each other.
  • The Black Panther footage was apparently amazing – like, standing ovation amazing – and yet Marvel will not release it to us peons on the internet. They’re rude. But you can at least read a full description of the action over at io9!

  • Supernatural fans are going to get their dream lineup for the Wayward Sisters spin-off. Three series’ originals –  Briana Buckmaster, Kathryn Newton and Katherine Ramdeen – have signed on to join Kim Rhodes in the new, women-centered series. Actress Clark Backo has also joined the series’ cast as a new character. (via Deadline)
  • The trailer for the third season of The Expanse has landed. “Season 1 was ‘What are the sides?’,” said executive producer Mark Fergus, “Season 2 was ‘Pick a side, and Season 3 will be ‘war.'” (via Syfy).
