Dresden Codak (drawn by Aaron Diaz) has started working on a reboot of the X-Men as teenagers and how our favorite persecuted mutants deal with the perils of getting along (or not) with their peers. I predict a great deal of angst and some mass destruction. (via Neatorama)

  • High school track star Meghan Vogel is today’s Most Wonderful Person: She won a sportsmanship award after not just winning the 1,600 meter race at a state-level competition, but helping her injured competitor in the 3,200 race, Arden McMath, across the finish line when she took a tumble. McMath had been in the lead when she fell, and rather than just take the win, Vogel helped her up and they finished the race together. And there is your Reason of the Day to have faith in the next generation. (via The Frisky)
  • Pixar storyboard artist Emma Coats has been tweeting things she’s learned about storytelling, and io9 has compiled them for us. Creative types: start your engines!
  • The Jim Henson Company has acquired the rights to the Frog and Toad series of children’s books, which follows the joyful exploits of … a pig and an eagle. I’m kidding, it’s about a frog and a toad who are friends. And now, they will get the Henson treatment. (via Deadline)
  • Attention Marvel/Iron Man fans: What do you make of this picture from the set of Iron Man 3? Does it point to MODOK as a possible villain, since Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM) is the organization that created him? Or is this a bunch of speculative hooey? (via Geek Tyrant)
