Netflix’s GLOW, one of our favorite shows of last year, announced their Season Two premiere date in the most fun way ever! Check out the video above, and watch as our favorite wrestlers are dancing like they’ve never danced before. It’s the most 1980s thing you’ll see today. (via GLOW on Twitter)
- The Dread Pirate Roberts himself, Cary Elwes, is joining the cast of Stranger Things Season Three as Hawkins’ mayor. (via Entertainment Weekly)
- Superman’s 80th anniversary this week is such a big deal that even the corporate-types over at Forbes are getting into the act, listing the best and worst of Superman in film and TV.
- The newest issue of Marvel’s Poe Dameron comic shows fans what happened with Poe, Rey, and Finn immediately after the events of The Last Jedi, and many fans speculate that we’re not ever going to see this in a film, because there will be a significant time jump into Episode IX. (via /Film)
- Check out this awesome and all-too-true essay by Brian Richards over at Pajiba talking about what bullshit it is that we’re even still having to defend the idea that Black Lives Matter. Rage at this latest instance of white skittishness at the mere sight of black bodies that Richards writes about.
- We’re all on stolen land. The Native Land website and app can tell you the indigenous history of the land on which you’re living. All you have to do is put in your zip code. (via Yes Magazine)
Lastly, I’ll leave you with some inspiration. Sure, Olivia Pope has been kind of horrible for a while now, but the most recent episode of Scandal had her coming back to her old “white hat” ways. I wish our actual leaders and politicians were this concerned about the good of the people. These are words we all need to hear right now. (via Valencia Olitz on YouTube)
