It doesn’t take a lot for me to get psyched about Ecto-1, but seeing it made out of polygons is pretty peachy keen, if you ask me. Josh Ln gave a ton of geekdoms most popular vehicles the polugon treatment, so go check them out at Geek Tyrant.

Well, this is fun! The Generalissimo Stan Lee will be a playable character in The Amazing Spider-Man video game! I Heart Chaos has a short video, in which Stan Lee is very psyched about this.

  • On a more serious note, however, artist Stephen R. Bissette does not want you to spend money to see The Avengers this spring. Why? Because of the way Marvel (and Disney) have treated the estate of Jack Kirby. Bissette says: “The Avengers? It’s a sham.” (via Blastr)
  • We thought you should know about Emily’s Hats For Hope Initiative, a small organization for which 17-year-old Emily makes knits hats for poor families in New Jersey and parts of rural Kentucky. Since January 1, she has made and donated more than 400 winter hats.

  • A filmmaking group in Los Angeles is raising money to produce a Hunger Games fan film called Star Squad, which deals with the events following the end of the trilogy. There are spoilers on this page, just so you’re warned, but they give you a chance to avoid them. Their fundraising effort goes until March 22, and they still have a long way to go before reaching their $65,000 goal at IndieGoGo.
  • Um, here is another weirdo look at Johnny Depp in Tim Burton‘s Dark Shadows movie, and Vanity Fair just published a whole slideshow of character portraits. Check them out at /Film.

    Finally, Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on AMC‘s The Walking Dead, posed with some cosplayers at the Image Comics Expo last weekend, because he is an awesome dude. (via Fashionably Geek)
