Things We Saw Today
All of these things are either truffles or cupcakes by pastry chef/genius Ana Fuji. But how could you ever eat them? (via That’s Nerdalicious)
Fall showed up with a vengeance in NYC, and that’s what is making this retro Wonder Woman hoodie look so good to us. That, and the fact that it’s a nice-looking hoodie. (at Fashionably Geek)
Matt Simmons, who runs the Standalone Sysadmin blog, has a novel idea: Ditch the “booth babes” (hired by outside companies to “show off the good” without having insider knowledge about what they’re promoting) at tech conferences:
What you end up with is the situation where you, as a conference goer, walk up to a booth and, because you’re no stranger to how this works, ignore any attractive woman and talk directly to a male at the booth. You assume immediately that any attractive female is there simply for their physical appearance, not for the value that their knowledge brings. This is wrong on every level, and it’s an insidious form of objectifying women – it happens gradually, over time, and the more booth babes you see, the more ingrained it becomes.

Winter is coming, and that means spending a lot of time indoors, possibly playing video games. One of those games should really be Game of Thrones: Genesis, the story for which is about the founding of Westeros going back 1,000 years and was written by George R. R. Martin himself. It will be released by Cyanide Games on September 29. (at The Escapist)
This is exciting: The Adventures of Tintin will be released on DVD this November! Season 1 comes out November 22. No special features or follow-ups have been announced yet. (But just a reminder, the movie comes out December 23!) (at MTV Geek)
Offered without comment. (at Blastr, who also offered it without comment)
