Things We Saw Today: Want to Read The Handmaid’s Tale? Your Library’s Got a Waitlist

Apparently people are all about getting in on Margaret Atwood’s classic dystopian science-fiction novel, The Handmaid’s Tale. Ahead of the Hulu series’ premiere (April 26th!), libraries across the country are reportedly aout of copies of the book, with waitlists surging to some real unparalleled highs. Yikes. • Nothing goes better with your dystopian sci-fi novel quite like alcohol, so why not make it Hellboy-themed alcohol, too? For those of you who enjoy Fireball (sorry, not it, don’t @ me about it), you can get your hands on a bottle of “Hell Water” cinnamon whiskey (not to be confused with 21st Amendment’s “Hell or High Water”) come April 14th. • Lauren Graham pulled back the curtain on one Gilmore Girls mystery, though it’s absolutely definitely 100% not the one you’re thinking of. (via TV Line)

As the United flight debacle continues to devolve into levels bordering on complete ridiculousness, Twitter has sounded off, calling out the journalists who have gone on to find blame within the victim and not United Airlines. (via Pajiba)

• The Daily Show‘s Hasan Minhaj will be hosting the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. In his acceptance statement, he took a swipe at Trump, who will not be attending: “It is a tremendous honor to be a part of such a historic event even though the president has chosen not to attend this year. SAD!” (via Vulture)
• This study is so incredibly important: according to a study of long-term records for over 100,000 black elementary school kids in North Carolina, having even a single black teacher in school can help keep black children in school. (via NPR)
