Thor Explains All in The Age of Ultron Scene You Weren’t Supposed to See
Think you’ve seen every Avengers: Age of Ultron scene several times over? Think again.
Marvel just released a new deleted scene from Age of Ultron and it features a bit more footage of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Stellan Skarsgård’s Dr. Selvig in the Norn Cave, with Thor, under the influence of the Norns, revealing the importance of the Mind Stone and the Infinity Stones. You may have heard about this scene before, as director Joss Whedon previously revealed that the studios had some of the cave footage cut after some bad test screenings.
According to Whedon, when the studio wanted to cut the cave footage completely, “the editors were like, ‘No. You have to show the [events in the cave]. You can’t just say it.'” So that’s why we got the shortened version in the film. But I have to admit that I’d have liked to have seen this whole thing included. I think it’s pretty clear cut in explaining things.
What do you think, guys? Would you have kept this scene in? Do you think the original one was enough?
Catch this and more special features on the Age of Ultron Blu-ray, which will be available October 2.
