Tom Holland Snaps a Very Peter Parker-esque Selfie on Spider-Man: Homecoming Set

So, okay. Spider-Man: Homecoming sounds like the strangest coming-of-age superhero movie ever, right? Well, honestly, if that’s the case, then I think they picked the right actor in Tom Holland, who shared a very Peter Parker-esque selfie from the set of the movie. What’s especially neat about this selfie is that it shows off the high tech web shooters on his wrist. All in all, a pretty neat photo, and something that provides some fun insight into how filming is going.
You may or may not remember that during Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man wore similar web shooters, which got a handy upgrade from Tony Stark at the end of the movie. As far as I can tell, these are the same ones, too.
It’s funny to think that we’re a year away from a brand new Spider-Man movie. Hopes are indeed high for this one, as it’s a cooperative venture between Marvel and Sony. As someone who was initially skeptical about Holland as Peter Parker, I have to say Civil War proved me quite wrong, and I couldn’t be happier about that. It bears mentioning (simply because it’s important) that a Miles Morales Spider-Man would have been so much cooler, but I’m happy with how Holland has brought Parker to life thus far. He’s kind of got the awkward, nerdy teenager thing down pat.
