Amazon Renews Transparent For Third Season And New Projects With Creator Jill Soloway
"I can't wait to reveal where this journey is going to take us."
Although it’s just beginning production on season 2, Amazon has already renewed Transparent for a third season and announced new projects with show creator and director Jill Soloway.
Under the deal, Amazon will work with Soloway’s production company to produce new work and Soloway will develop projects for Amazon Prime. Soloway, who wrote Transparent based on her own experiences with a transgender parent, expressed excitement to The Hollywood Reporter.
I am blown away by the creative freedom Amazon gives me, and I can’t wait to reveal where this journey is going to take us.
The Golden Globe-winning series follows the Pfefferman family after Maura (Jeffrey Tambor) comes out as transgender to her ex-wife and children. The series will return this fall with Andrea Sperling as executive producer.
