I say this with zero irony: what a time to be alive. (If you’re watching Twin Peaks for the first time and following along with Jill’s recaps, I suggest you stop reading here.)

Following Tuesday’s announcement that Agent Dale Cooper will be “featured” in Showtime’s upcoming Season 3 of Twin Peaks, Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer and Maddy Ferguson) and Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs) confirmed their involvement at the Twin Peaks UK Festival:

Is there a more badass thing to casually say than “I talked to David and he told me we’re going back to Twin Peaks?” Here’s a longer video of their talk, if you’re really on a roll:

Although I’m not surprised that Lee will be returning given Laura’s “25 years” promise to Coop, I’m pretty delighted that dirtbag Bobby will be along for the ride. And if the pair’s mention of Sherilyn Fenn means she’ll really be returning as Audrey, then one of my biggest personal grievances with the first two seasons might actually be settled.

Now, if we can just find out whether or not Heather Graham will be back as Annie…
