Universal Studios Hollywood Adds “Hot Butterbeer” to Wizarding World of Harry Potter Super Sugary Drink Lineup

It's like Pumpkin Spice Latte but more... wizard-y.

Pumpkin Spice, Peppermint Mocha, and now: hot Butterbeer.

Joining the legendary hallowed halls of seasonal-only drinks is “warm Butterbeer,” which is currently being served at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. Folks who have been to either Universal Hollywood or Orlando already know that they can have Butterbeer one of two ways: regular or frozen. While connoisseurs understand that frozen Butterbeer is the one truly better Butterbeer, both have something great to offer to the sugary drink-craving crowds.

Hot Butterbeer is basically the same thing except (you guessed it) it’s warm. It’ll be served in decidedly very Starbucks-looking cups, complete with their own Butterbeer logo-emblazoned cup sleeve. Judging by early accounts, it’s a welcome addition to their lineup of themed drinks, which already include Pumpkin Juice, Gilly Water, and the aforementioned Butterbeer variants.

When I was last at Universal Hollywood to check out their version of Hogsmeade, the frozen Butterbeer was delicious. But believe me when I say that I could absolutely feel how much sugar I was consuming with every brain freeze-inducing sip. That’s fine, I guess, if only because it fueled the rest of the walking around I did that day. Y’know, that and the candy I picked up at Honeyduke’s.

Ugh, just thinking about all that food is enough to give me a stomach ache. I’m going to go eat some celery now.

If you want to get your hands on one of these warm Butterbeer drinks, get thee to Hogsmeade (by way of Universal Studios Parks, of course, unless you know of a way to get to the real Hogsmeade, in which case please take me thank you very much).
