Logan Is Officially Back for the Veronica Mars Movie

Now, I haven’t watched any Veronica Mars—don’t worry, Jill has convinced me that I should—but cultural osmosis has taught me that Logan Echolls is a fan favorite in addition to being someone who’s commonly shipped with Veronica. Right? Let me know if cultural osmosis has done me wrong. Anyway, Logan fans, I am so very happy for you, because the “obligatory psychotic jackass” will now officially be in the Veronica Mars movie.
Creator Rob Thomas announced the return of actor Jason Dohring in an e-mail to the movie’s Kickstarter backers, saying:
“We now have three actors officially cast. Veronica. Logan and the waiter who says, ‘Your check, sir.'” [VM fans, help me out. What the heck does that mean?] Don’t worry. We’re busily working on bringing your favorites into the fold. As a Veronica Mars backer, you’ll be the first to know.”
When Thomas shared some basic details about the movie plot a week or so back he explained that Veronica hasn’t seen Logan in the nine years between the show and the movie. Sounds like a recipe for drama.
Veronica Mars fans, what other characters would you like to see return? And also, to get personal for a bit: My “to watch” is insanely long. If you’re so inclined, give me your #1 reason I should bump VM to the top of it. Five words or fewer. Bring it on.
