Recommended Videos

It’s that wonderful time of the year when we get to celebrate all of the great things that came out of the internet. Yep, it’s almost time for the 21st Annual Webby Awards and those being honored span a variety of categories in TV, film, social media, journalism, podcasting and more. Among the 2017 nominees are big names like Beyoncé, Coldplay, Serena Williams, Vice President Joe Biden, Lady Gaga, Michael Phelps, Selena Gomez, Serena Williams, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and James Corden.

Plus the podcast 2 Dope Girls (starring Phoebe Robinson and Jessica Williams), Netflix series Stranger Things, mobile gaming app Pokémon Go, and HBO series Game of Thrones also secured nomination. Not shocking is the fact that Google leads the most nominations with 16, followed by Vice Media with 15, and Condé Nast, the parent company of Teen Vogue, with 14.

Unlike most awards shows, each Webby category will feature two awards: The Webby Award, as voted by members of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and The People’s Voice Award, as selected by the public. Head here to cast your vote by April 20. Winners will be then be announced on April 25, 2017.
