In a New Star Wars Battlefront Trailer, It’s Vader vs. Han Solo … Kind Of?

I feel a great disturbance in ... general.

Whoa whoa whoa. Whoa. The graphics in Star Wars Battlefront look amazing and all, but … what the heck is this?

No, I’m not talking about the silliness that is Han Solo, a man with no special powers, coming to save the day from Darth Vader, the dark f***ing lord. (Yeah, Voldemort, I said it.)

No, I mean this other weirdness. Computer, go to 1:29. Freeze frame.

Enhance.

Enhance.

Enhance.

Oh god, un-enhance. UN-ENHANCE.

Geez, Harrison Ford’s likeness rights must be astronomically expensive. Looks like someone’s been to visit the wampa. Now introducing … dollar store replica Hon Solow, Star Skirmish hero as a playable character! Seriously, the would-be sizable impact of Han showing up to save the day is largely dampened by the fact that he’s clearly wearing someone else’s face as a mask.

Although it’s probably only even noticeable because the game looks so good otherwise, so I guess we should give them a pass. Not everyone can afford to not recast Harrison Ford. You can get your Star Skirmish on starting November 17 in North America.
