Six years after the movie, Watchmen is apparently headed to HBO in the form of a series to be developed by none other than Zack Snyder, the original film’s director.

According to Collider’s sources, HBO has already been meeting with Snyder to discuss details about the show. There’s no information to share about where or when the show takes place or anything, it’s just rumored that there’ve been some clandestine-esque meetings. I’d like to imagine they happen in a back alley somewhere with Rorschach watching, but hey, that might just be me.

It’s exciting to see that Snyder is on board to see the development of the show through. What isn’t exciting is HBO’s history with rumored TV releases. For all we know, a week from now, this could just be a great “what if” story.
