Why The Other Line Seems to Move Faster Than Yours [Video]
While waiting in line, ever wonder why the other lines seem to move faster? As Bill Hammack, the “Engineer Guy,” explains in the above informative video, the other lines seem to move faster because they generally are moving faster, due to nothing more than simple probability.
Bonus related note: If you’re ever at a ride in Disney World that has a dual-line setup and wondering why the neighboring line is moving faster, it’s because you’re probably in the line on the right side, and more people choose the right line over the left line due to a subconscious decision made by the majority of people, because said majority of people are right-handed.
Yeah, I’ve been on those backlot Disney tours.
