Countless questions have plagued mankind since our ancestors walked out of the Cradle of Civilization thousands of years ago. Why are we here? Where do we go when we die? How can we find meaning in a seemingly meaningless world? Will there be a fifth season of For All Mankind?

How was Wonka actually good? Why can’t Rudy Giuliani just stop talking? Scientists, philosophers, and scholars have pondered these queries for millennia, and will likely be pondering them for millennia more. At least we have received clarity on one of humanity’s most pressing issues: For All Mankind is indeed returning for season 5.

Per THR, Apple has officially renewed For All Mankind for a fifth season. The streamer also ordered a spinoff series focusing on the Soviet end of the space race, titled Star City. “With each new season, For All Mankind continues to build out a fascinating world and capture global audiences through high quality storytelling that has been so skillfully developed by Ron [Moore], Matt [Wolpert] and Ben [Nedivi],” said Apple TV+ head of programming Matt Cherniss, in a statement obtained by THR. “There is so much to explore and, we along with our partners at Sony, can’t wait to dive into this next chapter of the engrossing For All Mankind universe.”

It's starting to get sad.
