“Mr. Obama has the onerous burden of obeying the Constitution … Captain Kirk … is a dictator.” — William Shatner, during an interview on CNN this morning, when asked by an actual television journalist about if Barack Obama (the President of the United States of America) should be “less like Spock” and “more like Kirk,” both of whom are fictional characters in a decades old science fiction franchise. 1. As Mediaite points out, Mr. Shatner is Canadian and cannot even vote in our elections. 2. What? Why are we talking about this?
