Wonder Woman Official Trailer Is the Breath of Fresh Air We Needed Right Now

She's beauty, she's grace, she'll punch you in the face.

An official Wonder Woman trailer has arrived, and let me tell ya: it’s pretty darn exciting.

This trailer features Gal Gadot at her Wonder Woman best, and details the story arc we’ll be seeing next summer in Wonder Woman. Set against a backdrop of dramatic music and equally dramatic slow motion walking, Gadot and Co. bring a real gravitas to the screen. One of the most notable things in this trailer is its color palette. Gone are the grim, dark tones that dominate many of the other Snyder-verse films, and while there are certain segments that are absolutely dark and somewhat muted, the more colorful, vibrant palette surrounding Themyscira feels like a real breath of fresh air.

Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Danny Huston, and Lucy Davis are all prominently featured here as well. It was nice to see more of Pine’s character, to be honest, as I was mighty curious to see more of what he’d be bringing to the table as Steve Trevor. Lucy Davis is plenty funny as Etta Candy, Wondy’s bestie, shopping buddy, and apparently ride-or-die pal.

In case the trailer wasn’t enough for you, check out these cool new motion posters (read: slideshows) featuring Gadot in her Wonder Woman getup looking all rad.

About the trailer, though: it definitely got me a little misty-eyed. As excited as I was for this movie before, I am officially stoked to see this come to life. It’s about gosh darn time that Wonder Woman had her own film, and this trailer makes some solid promises that it’s going to be one to remember. Fingers (and arms) crossed, pals.
