Carson Kreitzer has written a play called “Lasso of Truth.” It details the creation of DC Comics’ Wonder Woman by looking at her creator, William Moulton Marston, wife Elizabeth Holloway Marston and Olive Byrne. Here’s the summary, “This incisive, multimedia-embracing play centers on a modern young woman searching for the original copy of Wonder Woman’s first appearance in print in an attempt to reconcile her childhood worship of Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman with the strange and complicated history of the character’s inception. The cast of five—The Inventor, the Wife and the Amazon in the 1940s and the Guy and Girl in the contemporary comic book store—show how this symbol of female strength and beauty was born and how she continues to inspire men and women today.” Check out the Indiegogo page, where the team is looking for a little help, for more.
