World’s Longest Hoverboard Flight Achieved Over Water Despite How Hoverboards Really Work
FAKE, obviously.
Catalina Alexandru Duru has set the record for the farthest flight ever on a real life hoverboard—until Marty McFly arrives from the past in October, I guess.
Guinness World Records verified the 905-foot journey, which seriously calls their methods into question, because it’s very clear in the video that the board is over water. I’m sure their excuse is something like, “Duru used a pretty awesome quadcopter-style hoverboard instead of pretend movie magic-science” or something, but we all know that hoverboards don’t work over water.
I can’t believe Guinness fell for this obvious hoax, even if the video does look incredibly realistic. Hats off to their special effects artist.
