Student Recorded People’s Exceedingly Adorable Reactions to Being Called Beautiful
You may have seen this video making the rounds on your Facebook/Twitter feeds lately. It’s a six-month-old video wherein Shea Glover, a student at a performing arts school in Chicago, records people’s reactions to her calling them beautiful. The responses range from surprise to almost angry disbelief, but no matter what, it’s difficult to resist smiling when people react to being told that someone thinks they’re beautiful.
Of particular note is the fact that a lot of the students aren’t sure how to react to something like this. A lot of them begin to turn away, looking like they’re embarrassed. But for the vast majority of students who inevitably end up smiling, the comparison between before being told and after is like night and day. It really is something to watch someone’s face go from “okay” or “pretty happy” to “embarrassingly happy” or “excited.”
The video currently sits at about 6.5 million views. When the video passed 4.5 million views, Glover recorded a second commentary video talking about her new video series/movement #BreatheBeauty. She says that she “wanted to bring more light, bring more positivity.” She also explained her goal, saying, “I wanted to promote happiness through constructive, positive thinking.”
It’s so incredibly refreshing to see such a positive video making the rounds, isn’t it?
