Warning: Spoilers for You season 3

Psychological thrillers have a tendency to border on risque and can mimic the drama of soap operas if done wrong (though if you love soaps, this is no diss on you). And aspects of You do border on ridiculous (the book is another story), but it’s a show that you can’t help but indulge in. Even if the content is, season after season, of a man unapologetically stalking women (then on occasion killing them when they become a problem). Penn Badgley himself has told folks to stop romanticizing his character.

You has followed Joe (Penn Badgley) for 3 seasons, each season focusing on his new obsession. Where he somehow is able to charm people, despite being the most awkward guy ever. Then the people that know he’s a horrible person are treated like they’ve got rocks in their head. Season 3 marked the end of his marriage to Love (Victoria Pedretti) by way of him murdering her. Instead of accepting that Love is likely the only person who will ever understand him. As they were literally two sides of the coin. With Joe being more careful about his murderous tendencies and Love being recklessly impulsive.

Naturally, season 3 had Joe obsessing over a new woman, Marienne (Tati Gabrielle), who got the hell out of town when Love told her who Joe really is. Determined as ever, Joe relocated to her birthplace of Paris in an attempt to find her. Both Penn Badgley and Tati Gabrielle are returning to their roles. But who are the new cast members/characters? Keep reading if you want to know.

You Season 4 New Characters/Cast:

Lady Phoebe (Tilly Keeper)

(BBC)

A sweet, kind, chaotic, and very rich socialite. She has a devoted fanbase but has unfortunately been followed by the tabloids since she was a teenager. And she has an American entrepreneur boyfriend, Adam.

Nadia (Amy Leigh Hickman)

(Channel 4)

A lit major who has serious aspirations to be an author, but has deep insecurities and puts on a facade to mask them. Will the big mistakes she’s made, that are threatening her life as she knows it, destroy her life? And will getting help from the wrong people have poor results?

Rhys (Ed Speleers)

(Sony Pictures Television)

A critically acclaimed author with looming pressure to launch a political career. Rhys was born into poverty and had a very traumatic upbringing. Though he eventually came into money and went to Oxford where he made the right friends. Now he’s a social butterfly but isn’t a party animal. Yet still makes time for his weird friends because they’ve always been there for him.

Sophie (Niccy Lin)

Sophie is an entrepreneur and a jet setter with a whimsical exterior. Underneath all the glitz and glam she’s very protective of her brother Simon.

Simon (Aidan Cheng)

Simon is hard to impress, hates small talk and strangers, and is the son of a Chinese technology magnate. Despite being sheltered and wealthy, he’s proven himself to be a good artist.

Malcolm (Stephen Hagan)

Malcolm is a very privileged lit professor who enjoys the perks of his job without working hard. He loves drugs and straddles the line of being a bully. And is cheating on his successful girlfriend, Kate.

Roald (Ben Wiggins)

Roald comes from a very old aristocratic family who has names on many important buildings around Europe. He’s an attractive and stylish guy and has perfect manners. Though he’s rumored to have a hidden dark side to him.

Gemma (Eve Austin)

She exists in a privileged group of Oxford folks and while is a fun person to party with, she’s tone-deaf and seemingly classist.

Blessing (Ozioma Whenu)

(LAMDA)

Blessing is a Nigerian princess with a few post-graduate degrees and a passion for cryptocurrency. She’s unapologetically cliquish with her uni friends and lives very carefree.

Connie (Dario Coates)

Connie went to Oxford with Kate and Phoebe’s group of friends. He’s posh, loud, and loves to drink and do coke. Likely he’s had to face a single negative consequence in his life.

Vic (Sean Pertwee)

(Fox Network)

He’s Adam’s personal driver/dealer/security and is very loyal to him and keeps many secrets. Vic’s also not afraid to get his hands dirty and treats outsiders with extreme suspicion.

Edward (Brad Alexander)

Edward is a university student and his father owns a powerful news outlet. He’s also popular and has grown accustomed to being the smartest student in the room. And also has an intense rivalry with Nadia.

Dawn (Alison Pargeter)

She’s a paparazzi photographer and is very good at her job because she’s hard to spot in a crowd. Therefore if someone is looking to hide, she’s likely to find them.

Elliot (Adam James)

Elliot is a world-weary individual who dislikes drama. He’s lived in California for decades but often travels throughout Europe for work.
