Paris-based SUPERBIEN (their caps, not ours) has produced a rather pretty recording of a 3D projection with coordinated light mapped onto real life surfaces. The video is much more impressive than the description, give it a watch.

The light show works by way of making computer-generated models of the real life structures, then mapping the lighting show to the CG models, which allows the lights to easily dance around the structures in real life: A somewhat bland explanation for an otherwise impressive application.
