Hey friends in California, if you’ve seen a Stormtrooper walking somewhere between San Francisco and San Diego, you should hear the heartwarming story behind his journey.
Kevin Doyle lost his wife Eileen to pancreatic cancer on November 7th of 2012, and walked the whole 645 miles from Rancho Obi-wan in Petaluma, California to San Diego Comic-Con in her memory. The money will go towards his non-profit foundation, Eileen’s Little Angels. He also made some cool stops along the way. Â
Today I complete the first leg of my walk when I arrive in San Diego! It’s been an incredible journey. #501MileWalkpic.twitter.com/y06b4YxDyL — 501 Mile Walk (@501MileWalk) July 9, 2015

I was honored to spend the #4thOfJuly walking in the parade w/ members of @501SCG. Thanks for having me! #501MileWalk pic.twitter.com/q55F0ss44x — 501 Mile Walk (@501MileWalk) July 5, 2015
On his Crowd Rise page, he says:
Eileen and I both shared a passion for Star Wars and are members of the world wide costuming organization the 501st Legion and as a member I regularly participate in charitable events, fund raising and various walks. This time I will be walking in Eileen’s memory. With the money raised I will be able to create such things as a coloring book, bandana’s, a blanket and plush toys…all featuring Eileen’s artwork. It is my hope that this walk will help me to heal and give my life purpose by sharing Eileen’s spirit through her artwork with children battling cancer and put a little sunshine into their lives. Thank you so much for taking the time to read Eileen’s story and for helping me to keep her spirit alive.
