[ETA: It’s here! Check out the trailer below!]:
[Originally published October 19th 2013 at 12:15pm]: Whovians, the wait until November’s 50th Anniversary celebration is about to get a little easier! The BBC has announced that today at approximately 8:20pm BST (that’s 3:20pm EDT, North American east-coasters), immediately following Strictly Come Dancing, the powers that be will air a brand-new trailer for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary!
According to the BBC, “The special trailer is set to show all of the Doctors as they first appeared on screen, including William Hartnell in high res colour for the very first time.” Available immediately after broadcast on www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho, the trailer will feature all eleven Doctors (no John Hurt?) in full-color HD glory – similar to the exclusive image they released with the trailer announcement.
Unlike the trailer that aired at San Diego Comic Con for “The Day of the Doctor,” the 50th Anniversary special that will be simulcast worldwide on November 23rd, today’s trailer has been specifically created to celebrate the legacy of the Doctor. It’s important to note that the upcoming trailer sadly has no footage from “The Day of the Doctor.”
We’ll update this post as soon as the trailer becomes available online!
