Rosalind Franklin was a biophysicist whose discoveries about the structure of DNA were integral to the early work of genetics pioneers James Watson and Francis Crick. Actually, saying they were “integral” doesn’t really get across how said discoveries were stolen and Watson and Crick got much of the credit that Franklin rightly deserved. Now, decades after Franklin’s death, the three of them get to hash it out in a rap battle by seventh graders from Oakland, CA’s KIPP Bridge Charter school. It is very possibly the best thing I’ve seen all week, and I saw Tom Hiddleston dancing yesterday.
