Evangeline Lilly Worried That People Would Hate Tauriel

She’s a bit of a Tolkien geek herself and has talked before about how she understands the risk of introducing a new character into an established universe. She told Entertainment Weekly… 

“I did have to hesitate and go, ‘Whoa, people are going to hate me’, but I really couldn’t refuse. It was just too good to say no to.”
