For many people, November 6th, 2012 may prove to be a date they’ll recall for years to come. Some folks might immediately associate this with the presidential election — for good reason — but others will associate it with another kind of leap into the unknown: The launch of Halo 4. The latest game in the franchise marks the first truly new entry from developer 343 Industries. Knowing full well that gamers picking up their copy might lose themselves in it, they’ve included a brief note reminding players to vote if they live in the United States.
The above image, uploaded to reddit by user xbemp, apparently welcomes players back to the storied Halo franchise when they begin playing. Not to ignore the circumstances of the launch date, the developers have included a little snippet at the bottom of their message to encourage U.S. players to go out and vote.
It might just be a gesture, but it’s a welcome one.
