Disney may not be ready to announce anything official as far as casting for the next Star Wars films but they are debating release dates for both Star Wars VII and Captain America 3: Black Widow Steals The Show (title pending approval) while also giving a few other small details. Read on for more, as well as a possible name for the next Resident Evil film and the first picture from the set of Terminator: Genesis.

Resident Evil: Retribution was the last film in the franchise and it while their quality can be debated, I’m always down for seeing Milla Jovovich kick butt. MovieWeb has a quote from director Paul W.S. Anderson which reveals two interesting things – a title and a returning actor. “I have to go home tomorrow for Rising Resident Evil. That’s what I’m going to do. As you know, Bingbling [Li] is in the last movie and she will be there again.” Hell, yeah more Ada Wong!

He also mentioned it would be in 3D but I think that’s a given at this point. MovieWeb also says the translation of the quote might have the title reversed.

This is the first image from the set of the next Terminator film. Obviously, it does not contain anything awesome. It does contain the troubling “R.I.P. Sarah,” however. Hmm… [Edit: This is actually a reference to Sarah Elizabeth Jones, a camera operator recently killed on set of another film.]

Meanwhile, Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn has been talking about their big properties. The Hollywood Reporter writes:

Talking to Bloomberg Television about Episode VII, Horn said that casting is “almost complete,” adding that “we’re not prepared to announce it yet, but we will be very shortly.” He explained that, despite earlier reports, principal photography hasn’t started on the film, with the Abu Dhabi shoot described as “some second unit work … because we have all these locations we have to film and we have to give it thatStar Warsian look.”

He also mentioned the traditional May release date being pushed to December 2015. “We may revert,” he said. “It depends on the readiness of the screenplays and where we are.” On that, /Film notes:

No one ever confirmed this, but the reason Star Wars Episode VII is opening in December 2015 instead of May 2015 is because J.J. Abrams and team wanted more time with the script. Everyone on the project is so beholden to keeping Star Wars traditions, they surely looked at May as the ideal release date so this news from Horn makes sense. The bigger question this raises, though, is when will we get a second Star Wars movie? May 2016? 2017?

And finally, Horn also made comment on the next Captain America movie release date as it pertains to Warner Bros. Man of Steel sequel coinciding. He said, “We’ll see. We’re struggling with it.”
